Applicants may download application forms from this website, or call 781-639-3140 to be sent an application by mail. Questions regarding applying for employment within the Marblehead Public Schools may be referred to this same number. Applicants may also visit the Personnel Office located at 9 Widger Road, Marblehead, MA 01945. Office hours are 7:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Fridays. APPLYING FOR POSITIONS Teaching Positions To apply for teaching and educational administration positions, download and complete the Professional Application Form and submit it along with the following to the Marblehead Public Schools Office of Personnel: · Professional Application Form · Cover Letter · Current resume · Proof of appropriate Massachusetts licensure/certification · Original college/university transcripts · Three letters of reference Applicants for teaching positions should submit a separate cover letter and resume for each available position of interest. Application materials should be directed to: Ms. Kerry O’Shaughnessy, Human Resources Secretary, 9 Widger Road, Marblehead, MA 01945. Those selected for an interview will be contacted directly by the school Principal or another administrator. Massachusetts Teacher Licensure/Certification Appropriate licensure (certification) by the Massachusetts Department of Education (DOE) is required for Massachusetts public school teachers. For additional information on licensure/certification, or to apply for licensure, visit the Mass. DOE on-line “Educator Licensure and Recruitment Center (ELAR) http://www.doe.mass.edu/educators/e_license.html or call 781-338-3000. Substitute Teacher Positions Substitute teachers within the Marblehead Public Schools must possess a 4 year college degree. To apply for a Substitute teacher position, download and complete the Professional Teacher Application Form and submit it along with a cover letter and current resume to Ms. Kerry O’Shaughnessy, Human Resources Secretary, 9 Widger Road, Marblehead, MA 01945. Substitute teacher applicants will be contacted by Temp Ed, Wakefield, M A. Support Staff Positions (Paraprofessionals and other positions) To apply for support staff positions, download and complete the Support Staff Application Form and submit along with the following to the Marblehead Public Schools Personnel Office: · Support Staff Application Form · Cover letter · Current resume All support staff applicants should submit a separate cover letter and resume for each available position of interest.
